Original Carte de Visite Photograph - Gonville Bromhead VC

Original CDV photo of Gonville Bromhead who, as a lieutenant, commanded B Company, 2/24th, during the defence of Rorke’s Drift, and was subsequently awarded the Victoria Cross. The image shows Bromhead in uniform with his regimental number on his forage cap; it predates the war by a few years. A nice, clear image of one of the most famous members of the heroic garrison. Dimensions are 4-inches x 2.5-inches.
