Interesting early book by Adrian Greaves, who of course has gone on to write a number of non-fiction books on the Anglo-Zulu War. This one is a novel, and tells the story of a young Welshman who escapes iSandlwana carrying the Queen's Colour of his battalion to safety; however his flight is misconstrued as cowardice, and the story tells of the repercussions of the incident - to him and his descendants in modern South Africa. Interesting and unusual. This is the paperback edition, in very good condition.
