An interesting 19th century Zulu knobkerrie with unusual features, including bands of wire decoration on the haft, and two holes in the head where presumably studs had once been fixed. Also a small metal plate nailed to the crown (no inscription). Some slight cracks commensurate with age, otherwise good condition; altogether a piece full of character! Overall length 26 ins, diameter of head 3 ins.
