The original 1881 edition was limited to a few copies, so in effect this was the first edition available to a wider readership, but even so only 1,500 copies were printed. This one is in pretty typical condition, cover a little grubby, trimmed title page, contents clean and sound. All the bound-in maps are present but the loose pull-out maps at the end are missing. This is a rare edition, and prices on ABE Books range from £420 to £1250. Because the pull-out maps are missing I'm looking for £300.
