A Solid 19th Century Zulu Fighting Knobkerrie, Iwisa - 28 Inches Long

A heavy, practical Zulu fighting knobkerrie, iwisa, overall length 28 ins, diameter of head 3.5 ins. Usual two-tone wood but with a dark patina, traces of three bands of wirework no longer present. Some faint flecks of old white paint which can often be found on pieces mounted during the 19th century as trophies! No obvious chips or marks, good condition.
