A very fine example of an absolutely typical Zulu stabbing spear (iklwa) of the 19th century. Long broad blade (16 x 2 ins) with typical short haft with flared end (overall length 51 ins). Split-cane binding. Some age marking on blade but no pitting, beautiful patina overall. Very attractive piece.
