An excellent 19th century Zulu stabbing spear, ntlekwane; a smaller type than the more famous iklwa, this had a slimmer blade but was equally used for fighting. Overall length 48 ins, blade 11 ins (1.25 ins wide), cowhide binding. In good condition, excellent patina on the haft, well-preserved cowhide binding.
