Very attractive Zulu prestige axe, isizenze, collected by Ian Knight from the middle-Thukela valley in the early 1990s. The blade is a typically Zulu triangular shape and set into a handle with a swollen and faceted head. Probably a late 19th/early 20th century piece, overall length 38 ins, blade 11 ins long by 3.5 ins wide. Signs of significant age in the patina but a good strong piece in excellent condition.
