A large Zulu shield made in the modern traditional style by Zulu shield-maker, with decorative lacing on the sides of the face of the shield. The basic colour reflects that of the old uThulwana ibutho, who fought at Rorke's Drift. Some slight hair loss, otherwise in excellent condition; size 44 x 20 ins. A striking display piece.
