Large original photograph of a Zulu chief, identified here as Prince Hamu; the same photograph has been variously identified as Ntshingwayo kaMahole, the Zulu commander at iSandlwana, and Prince Dabulamanzi. Whilst it is certainly neither Hamu nor Dabulamanzi and the exact identification remains uncertain, it remains a very striking contemporary picture. Image size 8 x 5.5 ins.
