Excellent Swazi stabbing spear, late 19th/early 20th century. Swazi spears followed the same broad patterns as their Zulu counterparts but were often characterised by wider blades and by decorative cow-tails on the base of the haft. This is a beautiful piece, the heavy blade 12 ins long by 2.5 wide, neatly bound with wire, overall length 58 ins. Good sound condition.
