Reprint of one of the classic contemporary accounts of the Anglo-Zulu War. This history was started by Captain Edmund Wyatt-Edgell, 17th Lancers, but following his death at the battle of Ulundi it was completed by Major Ashe. Although it reflects the bias of contemporary British opinion it is particularly interesting in that it emphasises the role of the cavalry, and contains details not found elsewhere. Hardback, 418 pages, condition almost like new.
