Second (1987, much revised) edition of the publication first put out in 1979 for Anglo-Zulu War Centenary by the Victorian Military Society. This edition includes articles by leading scholars of the war at that point, including an Introduction by Donald R. Morris of 'Washing of the Spears' fame. Other features include an important study of the 1/24th on the eve of iSandlwana by F.W.D. Jackson, eye-witness accounts of Khambula by Frank Emery, a Zulu perspective of Khambula by John Laband, two accounts of Ulundi edited by Sonia Clarke, and descriptions of the organisation of the British and Zulu armies by David Langley and Ian Knight respectively. At the time this publication was considered to set a new benchmark for studies of the war, and the contents remain important. It's a soft-cover A4 publication, 44 pages including illustrations and maps. The cover is a little scuffed and marked but otherwise condition is very good.
