Classic Zulu stabbing spear, iklwa. Blade shows sign of considerable age and is clearly 19th century; it may have been rehafted at some point in the 20th century (it was common to re-haft treasured weapons when the haft was damaged by ants etc). Blade is 14 ins long at 2 ins wide; overall length 41 ins. Cowhide binding, haft solid with no obvious damage. A nice piece.
